My Second Ball of Yarn Alpaca x Dorper

Continuing on with my hand spinning rabbit hole, this is my second ball of yarn. It's a mix of sheep and alpaca, both sourced from dad's farm.

The alpaca fleece had been sitting in my old car (RIP Galaxy) out at the farm for the last 20-odd years, but apart from the top layer being completely disintegrated from the sun, the rest of it was perfect.

I dyed both fleeces blue, but the dye didn't quite fix properly so I had blue hands every time I picked up this project.

Now that the yarn is finished, I'm going to turn it into a beanie for my dad.
