Tombow Irojiten Extras Colour Chart

These are the 10 extra colours that complete the Tombow Irojiten coloured pencil range. The first, second and third editions include three 'volumes' of 10 colours each, with this set bringing the total to 100 colours.

Here I've swatched them onto 185gsm hot pressed Arches watercolour paper. The colours are swatched in the same order they appear in the set. You can download a free blank template of this chart below.

EX-1 Scarlet is a close match to Derwent Procolour 12 Primary Red and Derwent Coloursoft C120 Red, as well as Faber Castell Polychromos 121 Pale Geranium Lake.

EX-2 Yolk Yellow is pretty unique. The closest match to it that I can find in my collection is Derwent Artists 0900 Deep Chrome, but Yolk Yellow is a bit paler.

EX-3 Scouring Rush is a dark green that leans towards yellow and is similar to Derwent Inktense 1510 Beech Green and Faber Castell 165 Juniper Green.

EX-4 Deep Sea is a bluish grey that closely matches Derwent Procolour 70 Blue Grey and Derwent Artists 6800 Blue Grey.

EX-5 Wild Grape is unique. The closest in hue that I can find in my stash is Derwent Artists 2700 Blue Violet Lake, but Wild Grape is much much darker.

EX-6 Anemone Pink is a hard colour to find a comparison for too. It's closest to Derwent Chromaflow 0920 Orchid, but a bit darker.

EX-7 Peony Pink looks nothing like the barrel colour! It looks like a desaturated version of Derwent Coloursoft C240 Bright Purple. 

EX-8 Russet Brown is another hard-to-match colour, with the closest I can find being Derwent Drawing 6470 Mars Violet.

EX-9 Sepia is another where the colour doesn't match the barrel. It's slightly warmer than Derwent Artists 54 Burnt Umber.

EX-10 Silver Grey is like many of the colours in this set, in that I couldn't find a close match. But I reckon it'd be somewhere between Prismacolor Warm Grey 10% and 30%, so Warm Grey 20%? (I don't have it so can't actually check. Don't hold it against me!)
