Trunic Keyring
Towards the end of 2025 I got really into beads, and had to BEAD ALL THE THINGS! Don't ask me how many grand plans of beaded masterpieces are still pending...
This is a Tunic inspired keyring that I made for a friend, who is also fan of the game, and far more fluent in Trunic than I am. Trunic is the game's written language, and while I did take the time to translate it all while I was playing it, I've since forgotten most of the sounds. But lucky for me there's a Trunic generator.
The hexagonal/isometric style of Trunic really lends itself to peyote stitch. After generating an .svg of the runes, I recreated it as pixel art in Photoshop before transferring it onto a peyote stitch grid template from Artbeads.com.
I used teeny tiny 1.5mm beads in black and silver to create the beaded design, which was double-sided (and of course I forgot to photograph it!), and sewed it around a split ring.
I also made some custom packaging for the finished keyring. The holographic silver plastic sleeve was upcycled from a packet of beads. I used the same Trunic generator and some of the artwork from the game's manual for the label, which was designed in Illustrator.
